Children's Day
At the end of every year the Tannery Industrial Park has a special children’s day that is aimed at making less fortunate children feel special and valued. Orphans and less fortunate children from Johannesburg, Pretoria and as far as Bethal are spoiled and entertained for the day with a Santa Clause, jumping castles, puppets, clowns, chocolate fountains and much more!

The children are fetched with a bus and brought to the Tannery Industrial Park. On arrival each child receives a present.

The children are then entertained by various artists and entertainers. Some listen to African tales while others imitate the king of the jungle but most of them do what Africans do best – dancing!

After lunch the tension builds in anticipation for the man in the red coat with his big bag filled with surprises and to see what Santa Clause has brought them!

Each gift simply says “You belong here – we love you!”

No Christmas party is complete without the harmony of music and singing. The children are also entrained by artists such as the energetic and hilariously entertaining character –
Thys die Bosveld Klong - shake, rattle and roll !

At the end of the day the children each receive another present that is made up of basic items such as a toothbrush, socks and underclothes.
The generosity of many sponsors makes it possible for these young hearts to leap with joy every festive season!
